Just a little bit of focus and simple time estimation goes a long way toward making progress, and that's often good enough. The Emergent Task Planner is designed to provide a relaxed-yet-focused approach to daily time management.
HOW TO USE IT At the beginning of the day, sit with your coffee and one sheet of ETP paper. Note the three or so really important things you need to do, and estimate how long you think it'll take in one sitting. Mark this time on the pad in the "things to do" area. Then, figure out when in the day you'll do it and box it in in the day grid area.
As the day goes on, refer to this sheet to keep focused on what you really want to do. There's ample room for keeping notes and scribbling down what else is happening. At the end of the day, review how you did, and refer to the sheet on the next morning as you fill out the new one.
